ESSENCE of EXMOOR

ESSENCE OF EXMOOR

A SLOW EXPLORATION of WILDLIFE AND LANDSCAPE

‘Essence of Exmoor’ is the first chapter in a series of long-term fine art photography projects exploring the natural rhythms and quiet lives of wildlife within their landscapes. Rooted in many months of patient immersion, each image is a carefully observed moment shaped by time, familiarity, and a deep respect for place.

This body of work forms part of an ongoing exploration of animals, landscapes, cultures, and seasonal change, with Exmoor serving as both subject and collaborator. The series reflects a slower way of seeing—one built on observation rather than intervention, and on presence rather than pursuit.

Future projects will continue this ethos, focusing on threatened species and endangered cultures, and honouring the values of patience, restraint, and respect that define my approach to fine art documenting and storytelling.
